Concerns over tabloid newspaper owner's political influence

Three million people, or 42 per cent of the Austrian population, read the tabloid Kronen Zeitung every day, writes Eric Frey .

Hans Dichand, the newspaper's octogenarian publisher, openly uses his paper for pet political issues, such as a moratorium on immigration or opposing the European Union's Lisbon treaty.
