Tony Blair on Tuesday unveiled a package of measures designed to ease the daily life of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and strengthen the position of the Palestinian Authority. He conceded, however, that many of the projects had yet to receive the final go-ahead from Israel.
Mr Blair, the former British prime minister, made the announcement as special envoy of the Middle East Quartet, the post he was appointed to by the US, the United Nations, the European Union and Russia last year.
