Hong Kong leads Asian markets lower

Hong Kong was the worst performer of the major Asia-Pacific bourses on Thursday, following disappointing earnings from Esprit and PetroChina.

Apparel company Esprit slumped 18 per cent to HK$66.00, the biggest daily decline in more than a decade, after its earnings disappointed investors and it warned of a challenging year ahead.
