Hicks bullish about Liverpool stadium

Tom Hicks, one of Liverpool’s US owners, insisted the Premiership club’s plans for a new stadium remained on track and were unconnected to his decision to delay a development project in the US because of the credit crunch.

Liverpool’s move from Anfield to a 71,000-seater stadium at Stanley Park is scheduled for the 2011-12 season, provided construction work begins this autumn.
