Following the distressing revelation of John Prescott’s bulimia while in office, the Financial Times has seen an early draft of Gordon Brown’s memoirs which includes the shock revelation that the prime minister spent years addicted to binge taxing.
In a passage from his soon-to-be-published autobiography, the prime minister admits that while chancellor of the exchequer he suffered from violent mood swings that were relieved only by comfort tax reforms.
