TPV poised for assault on TV market

TPV Technology, a Hong Kong-based company which is the world’s biggest maker of computer monitors, is planning a big foray into TV set production as part of a goal to double its sales over the next five years.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Jason Hsuan, the Taiwanese chairman and chief executive of TPV – which has most of its production in China – said his aim for the company was to be making 30m flat-screen TVs a year by 2013, up from 4m last year.
