Xaar falls on China slowdown warning

Shares in Xaar fell 65½p, or almost 36 per cent, to 116½p after the ink-jet printer technology company warned of slower sales of its core products into China, its main market.

The warning came less than two months after a trading update spoke of “a temporary reduction in activity by end-users within China” following an earthquake in Sichuan in May.
