Calyon chief to depart

Marc Litzler is to be replaced as the head of the investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole, becoming the latest senior European banker to pay the price for losses linked to US subprime mortgages.

The departure of Mr Litzler, who only took over the reins of Calyon in July, is likely to be confirmed on Thursday when the bank issues quarterly results, said a person familiar with the situation.
