Tangent Communications, the marketing services company controlled by Michael Green, the former chairman of Carlton Communications, has emerged as the bidder for TMN Group, the online direct marketing company.

Tangent, where Mr Green’s nephews Nick and Tim Green are joint chief executives, has approached the board of TMN with a potential cash and shares offer valuing the company at about 50p a share.
