Philippine inflation hits 11%

Consumer prices in the Philippines surged by 11.4 per cent in June, the first double-digit rise in nine years and an increase of nearly two percentage points from the previous month amid soaring global fuel and food prices and supply disruptions caused by a string of typhoons.
