F&C Asset Management is launching a fund to invest in "clean" technologies such as renewable energy and areas of the economy expected to be affected by climate change.

The Global Climate Opportunities Fund will be launched today with an initial funding of £10m. F&C would not comment yesterday about the target size of the fund. which joins the wide range of existing funds formed in recent years to exploit the increasing investor appetite for clean technologies.
