Zapatero urges unity on energy in Europe

José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has backed away from his defence of national energy champions.

In an interview with the Financial Times, the Spanish prime minister said he supported greater power sector co-operation across Europe, stating: “We cannot all aspire to have national energy champions.”
