Fuel costs threaten BA dividend

British Airways is “up to its neck in perhaps the biggest crisis the aviation industry has ever known”, the airline’s chairman warned investors on Tuesday.

The airline’s board had been forced to revise its business plan for the third time in four months, in response to the rapid and steep rise in fuel costs, Martin Broughton told BA’s annual meeting.
