SK Telecom in talks with Virgin Mobile in US

SK Telecom of South Korea is in talks with Virgin Mobile USA about the possibility of combining their US mobile phone operations.

SK Telecom, part of the SK conglomerate, said on Wednesday that Helio, its US mobile business, was discussing ”strategic opportunities” with Virgin Mobile USA, whose largest shareholder is Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin group.
