Ministers prepare for policy meeting battle

Ministers are drawing clear battle lines as they arrive in Warwick on Thursday night ahead of a crucial policy meeting with union chiefs over Labour’s policies for the next general election.

Heads of the big unions are hoping for up to 130 concessions over issues ranging from flexible working to free school dinners during the gathering of the national policy forum.
