Merrill awards senior posts outside US

Merrill Lynch on Wednesday awarded senior jobs in its investment banking division to executives based in Europe and Asia as the the Wall Street bank moved to adjust its senior ranks to reflect growth prospects outside the US.

As part of the reshuffle, responsibility for Merrill Lynch’s global investment banking operations will be shared between an executive committee of six people, two of whom will be based in Europe and one in Asia.
