The recent revival of traditional childhood pastimes has been kickstarted by a desire to connect generations across the Nintendo gap.
But what is also clear – from the popularity of books such as The Dangerous Book for Boys, by Conn and Hal Iggulden, which is packed with information such as how to make a tree house, fold paper aeroplanes and skip stones – is that there is a market for childhood toys from adults nostalgic for a youth they never quite had.
