Business on attack after CGT concessions

Business launched a scathing attack on the government on Thursday after Alistair Darling unveiled capital gains tax concessions.

Critics argued the new regime would “seriously clobber” wealth creators and send “all the wrong signals” about the UK’s attitude to entrepreneurship.
