Test results to miss end of term

A large minority of the test results eagerly awaited by state-educated 14-year-olds and their parents will not be available by the end of summer term. Ed Balls, schools secretary, said yesterday that 15 per cent of key stage 3 results were not yet available. The delay was caused by difficulties at ETS, the testing company that won a government contract to mark the tests for the first time this year. David Turner
