Tradition presents problems to power transition

All around the Arab world people will tell you that the family unit is at the core of their societies, a proud and integral part of the region’s culture, traditions and ­fabric.

However, when it comes to mixing family and business, the path to success can be taxing – particularly as many family-owned companies are preparing to make the transition to the second and third generations.
