German microprocessor maker Infineon on Monday named Peter Bauer the new chief executive and announced the departure of Wolfgang Ziebart, the incumbent, effective June 1.

Mr Ziebart resigned “due to different opinions on the future strategic orientation of the company“, the company said in a statement.
