Revenue growth at Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm, slowed sharply last year but still hit levels that would be the envy of many of its multinational clients post-credit crunch.

The London-based firm on Thursday unveiled an 11 per cent rise in turnover, suggesting other members of the so-called “magic circle” of leading lawyers would remain buoyant despite worsening economic conditions.
