● ETF Securities has hired Mark Weeks to become chief executive of the ETF Exchange, a platform for exchange traded funds. Mr Weeks was previously head of UBS’s securities lending operation in Zurich.
● Simeon Downes has left RiskMetrics, where he was sales and relationship manager, to join Spencer-Churchill Miller Private as a senior investment analyst.

Lindsay Tomlinson, vice-chairman of Barclays Global Investors Europe, has been elected as the new chairman of the UK’s National Association of Pension Funds. He will take over from Chris Hitchen.
● Giles Scott
has joined HSBC Private Bank in Hong Kong as head of investment advisory. Mr Scott joins from Merrill Lynch, where he was head of equity distribution in the Pacific Rim region.
● Tobam has hired Christophe Roehri as a business development director for France. Mr Roehri was previously an institutional sales director at Fortis Investments.
● Adam Seitchik, formerly chief investment officer at Trillium Asset Management, has joined Auriel Capital as a managing director to develop environmental, social and governance investment strategies.
● Gartmore has announced the appointment of John Bennett as senior portfolio manager for European equities. Mr Bennett joins from GAM, where he managed European equities funds.
● Catalyst Fund Management and Research has appointed two partners to run an ethical fund. Robin Black joins from Botts & Company as managing partner of Catalyst Fund 1, while Luca Bosatta, former managing director of UBS, joins as social impact partner.
● Newton Investment Management has hired Tracey Dominick to its global research team from Fidelity Investments.
● Investment bank Noble, which specialises in small to mid-caps, has appointed Charles Ashton as finance director. For the past five years, Mr Ashton has been finance director of two early stage developing companies, E-Courier and FR TRAQ.
