Greggs revenue growth slips

Greggs blamed weather and early Easter, rather than price rises, for a “disappointing” sales performance over March and April.

Like-for-like revenue growth at the Geordie baker, which accelerated during 2007 and into the new year, slipped to 4.7 per cent over the 19 weeks to last Saturday. The shares fell 345p to £43.55.
