Women in the law? Never ...
From Mr Ronel Lehmann.
Sir, Lucy Kellaway (“If you have to reject me, tell it to me straight”, January 23) made me smile on two counts. First, I applied together with thousands of others for a place on the BBC graduate production scheme – only to be rejected. I immediately replied: “Dear BBC, You have made a mistake. Yours faithfully, Ronel Lehmann” and received a surprise letter by return inviting me to interview.
Second, the reason that I founded a marketing communications agency in December 1988 was my having read an inspirational book entitled The Brothers: The Saatchi & Saatchi Story by Ivan Fallon.
