Nikkei’s losing run longest in 40 years

Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 average fell for a 10th day on Wednesday, its longest consecutive loss since 1965, according to the indices’ compiler Nikkei.

The average closed the day down 1.3 per cent at 13,286.37, bringing its losses to 8.1 per cent over the 10-day period.
