Sir Terence Conran is a little miffed by suggestions over the weekend that his decision to sell most of his restaurant empire means his long and successful career as a designer, restaurateur and retailer is at an end.

“I’m not exactly collapsed on my laurels,” he says in an interview with the Financial Times.
