But former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie was very earnest when he married yesterday for the second time.
Making an honest man of 61-year-old Mr MacKenzie was Sarah McLean , 15 years his junior, and a corporate HR director in the UK operations of McGraw-Hill, the US publishing group which also owns Standard & Poor's, the ratings agency.
Among the guests at the nuptials, held in Sunningdale, Berkshire, were long-time friend and the head of media investment banking at Jefferies, Jonnie Goodwin , radio presenter Nick Ferrari , as well as The Sun's current editor, Rebekah Wade .
