Outlook: Market looks to rate minutes

Never was the outlook for interest rates so intensely watched – and this week the market gets its hands on the latest thinking from both the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England.

Minutes from the last rate-setting meetings of both central banks are published on Wednesday. Although the Fed hinted that its 25 basis points rate cut on April 30 might be its last for some time, investors will be anxious to see if there was any divergence in thinking between the 12 members of the Open Market Committee.
