Fitch has withdrawn its ratings on the £500m debt issued by Resolution, saying Pearl Group, which acquired the company’s closed assurance funds in May for almost £5bn, has declined to share confidential information about how it will manage Resolution’s capital base.

The rating agency said the withdrawal “reflects the lack of publicly available information on Pearl” and the refusal of Pearl “to share certain rating-critical information on an ongoing basis”.
