Sunseekers have had a hard time in Europe this summer – and not just in the meteorological sense. The continent’s economic weather has been decidedly mixed, with rays of sunshine struggling to emerge from behind the clouds.

However, the latest Financial Times economic weather map still offers a brighter picture than in May.
