Self-made sorts kick back and relax

When entrepreneurs are not running their empires and amassing wealth, what do they do with their time? Children? Travel? Television? Or the obvious business sport: golf? Surely they must indulge in extraordinary leisure pursuits, in keeping with their unusual careers?

I suspect most entrepreneurs on the way up do not take much time off. Endless relaxation doesn’t really go with the territory. Hard graft and long hours are invariably essential in building a company. Particularly in this age of always-on communications, it can be almost impossible to escape the stress of business. Perhaps some agree with Thoreau when he said: “What the banker sighs for, the meanest clown may have – leisure and a quiet mind.”
