EADS fights back over US contract outcry

US domestic politics should not be allowed to interfere with the Pentagon’s defence procurement programme, says Ralph Crosby, the American head of EADS, the Franco-German aerospace and defence group.

Mr Crosby’s company recently shocked the defence establishment when, together with US partner Northrop Grumman, it landed a $35bn contract to supply refuelling tankers to the US Air Force, defeating Chicago-based Boeing.
