Polling group YouGov boss Nadhim Zahawi will step down when the general election is called, after selection as the Con- servative candidate for safe seat Stratford-on-Avon.
The YouGov co-founder worked for Lord Archer during a failed bid to become Mayor of London. Fellow YouGov founder Stephan Shakespeare will succeed Mr Zahawi as chief.
At the same time, YouGov chairman Roger Parry is leaving as chairman of Media Square. Mr Parry recently made peace with Sun editor turned media entrepreneur Kelvin MacKenzie , with whom he had a public spat several years ago, breaking bread with him over lunch.
