Shake-up at Swedish central bank

Sweden’s central bank has appointed two new members to its six-member policy board, bringing a fresh flavour to policy decisions at a time of deepening uncertainty over the future direction of interest rates.

The new members are Lars Svensson, an academic, and Barbro Wickman-Parak, an economist, who replace Eva Srejber and Kristina Persson, both of whom resigned.
