Buy-out investors worry over ‘strategy drift’

Three-quarters of investors in private equity are worried about “strategy drift” as fund managers shift away from core investment areas into new fields where they have less experience, according to a new report.

While many investors plan to increase their allocations to private equity, a large number are concerned their returns could suffer as a result of strategy changes by fund managers, according to Coller Capital’s private equity barometer.
