Meggitt confident on civil aerospace market

Meggitt said it remained confident about the outlook for civil aerospace, as the company reported underlying profits up 59 per cent in the first six months of the year.

Terry Twigger, chief executive, said Meggitt, which has strong positions on civil aerospace and military programmes, was well-placed to weather the high oil prices and tight credit conditions sweeping through the airline industry.
