The FT will be publishing a special report on Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy on July 5, coinciding with the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in Geneva, and the half-way point for achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals.
It will explore the changing field of corporate responsibility, personal and corporate philanthropy, social enterprise and mission-related investment.
There has been a sharp growth in the number of NGOs in recent years, and a growing trend for companies and philanthropists to form partnerships with them to deliver results in a broad range of areas.
The FT report will include a pioneering ranking of the best non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for companies to work with, prepared by Dalberg Global Development Advisers.
Full details of the rankings will be contained in a new Business Guide, designed to strengthen collaboration between companies and NGOs and UN agencies. It will identify 100 leading organizations around the world that have demonstrated skill and excellence in their partnerships with companies.
Companies willing to participate in a short survey by May 25 to assess their experiences with NGOs will be acknowledged on the back cover of the Guide and will receive a free copy, valued by a focus group of ten Global 500 companies at approximately $5,000.
